So sorry to hear of Karl’s passing. I grew up with Karl in Thunder Bay and attended elementary school and high school with him … we all used to call him Boomer. The thing about Boomer was his cheeky sense of humour … he always entertained us with a goofy Neil Young impression or a hilarious meandering story over a few Molson Goldens or in recent years, a few Coors Lite. After high school, I lost contact with him for several years, but that was another thing about Boomer....he was the type of guy that even if we hadn't spoke to one another for a long time, we would just pick up exactly where we left off, like no time had passed at all. Katie and I extend our heartfelt condolences to Kathleen and Karl’s family and friends. Boomer was a kind and gentle soul … and a life-long friend and I will miss him dearly …
