Peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Johanna Yanchycki passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010 at the Selkirk General Hospital at the age of 84 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Henny (Ronald) Augustus and Grandson Todd of West Virginia, USA; Grandson Robin (Wendy), great granddaughter Jessica, great grandsons James and Jason of Indiana, USA. Her son, Richard Domansky (Shirley) of Neepawa, MB; Granddaughter Ginger Richards, (Jim), great grandsons Dustin and Carson Richards of Thompson, MB; Granddaughter Julianna Coates, (Bryce), great granddaughters Meadow, Autumn, and great grandson Hudson Coates of Morse, Saskatchewan. Her daughter, Diana (Len) Kolenich of Stony Mountain MB; Grandson Miles Kolenich, Granddaughter Jackie (Rob) Tyerman, great granddaughter Sydney. Her son, Douglas Domansky (Sharon) of Stonewall, MB., Grandson Chris (Brandi), great grandsons Blase and Foxx, great granddaughter Nevaeh, Grandson Jason (Roxanne), Grandson Colin (Amy), great grandson Ayden and great granddaughter Juliet all of Stonewall MB.
Johanna was predeceased by her first husband Edward Domansky, November 23, 1963. Johanna married her second husband Peter Yanchycki in 1970 and he predeceased her on September 1, 1993. She was also predeceased by her great granddaughter Jennifer Ann Augustus, August 28, 1994 of Washington State USA.
Johanna came to Canada from Rotterdam, Holland as a War Bride in June 1946 and during her life lived in Elphinstone, Brandon, Winnipeg, Stonewall, and most recently Selkirk MB. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends, reading, crocheting, camping, taking long walks, and garage sales.
Our Mom will always be remembered, sadly missed and loved by her family.
Cremation has taken place and a private Service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
