Obituary

Carlos Garcia
October 8, 1947 – February 14, 2019

Carlos "Boy" Garcia was born on October 8, 1947 in Manila, Philippines. He passed away at the age of 71 on February 14, 2019.
He is predeceased by his parents Tomas Sr. and Caridad Garcia; brothers Serafin, Antonio and Ricardo; parental figures Lody and Puring Delgado. He is survived by his wife Celia, children Charles, Sherisse (Mark), grandchildren Elias and Emery; siblings, Amelia Ablao (Jose), Felisa De Leon (Antonio), Ernesto "Jing" (Erlinda), Cynthia (George), Tomas "Louie" (Elizabeth); sister-in-laws Corazon, Flor and Flora; several nephews and neices, as well as the Diaz family in the Philippines.
Carlos immigrated to Canada in 1972 working two long careers at Silverwood Dairy and Buhler Industries. He was a big kid at heart who will always be remembered for his infectious smile, ability to make you laugh and feel loved. He was known for telling jokes and cooking his famous sisig and holiday ham. He loved family gatherings, having drinks with his buddies and going to the casino. Growing up we had an endless supply of ice cream in our freezer but what he had was an endless supply of love for his "sweet."

Viewing/Lamay will be held at Mosaic Funeral, 1839 Inkster Blvd on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 12:00 midnight.
Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at St. Peter's Church, 748 Keewaitin St. at 1:00pm. Reception to follow at Mosaic Funeral Homes.
