Dear Uncle John, Being the twentieth of a family of 21 children Has made you a strong person! As a child, you wore hand me downs, Often left the table with stomach half full, Slept three in the same bed. Had to walk a long distance to go to school, Sometimes had to wait for your turn even to talk, Did chores daily, without complaining, But still you learned to be happy, Inventing games with cans or sticks And mostly enjoying your family's company! One day, you decided to live a new life in Manitoba! You met Laura and together you built a gorgeous family, Enjoying life by laughing, fishing, cooking, And mostly you loved with all your heart! On your journey on Earth, You were not rich Yet you were a loving and caring person Who watched over his family With love and great wisdom! Now may you rest in peace Since your goodness lives on In the heart of all your descendants! Deepest sympathy to the family! Your nieces, Nicole Davidson and Gisèle Norman, Daughters of Jules Brabant, the fifteenth of the family
