Condolences

Condolence From: Pat Winn
Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of Dave's passing.
Dave and I worked together in Customer Service in the same department, and then later in related departments for many years. I could always count on Dave for direction/advice when I needed his assistance. As a Customer Relations Officer,I know that he helped numerous customers over the years with their concerns, and although the end result may not have always been in the customer's favour, Dave made sure that they had an better understanding of the situation. Customers in turn showed their appreciation in the form of letters of thanks, and sometimes even gifts, the latter of course, Dave politely but respectfully, refused.
His love for his family was evident all the years I knew him, as he spoke about their various activities.
Last year when our paths crossed, Dave was his usual friendly, talkative self. We discussed various trips that he and Dianne had taken - his smiling enthusiasm as he discussed their adventures, making them that much more interesting. No surprise that he made permanent friends on their travels. And as I am reading in other tributes, yes he gave me a pin that day as well. And that's how I will remember him - one of the good guys.
So now, one great guy joins another (Dave Petz). The "2 Daves", as they were commonly known at MPI, are together once again, no doubt doing what they do best - helping out.
My sympathy to all the family during this very sad time. May all of the good memories help to ease some of your pain.

Condolence: I'm very sorry for your loss. Dave was a great person to work with and be around. I worked with Dave at MPI and I new him for many years. We worked at Claim Centre #1 years ago and later at Eaton Place. Dave was very dedicated to MPI and its customers. I fondly remember him and Dave Petz together, they were a dynamic duo!

Condolence: I was a colleague of Dave's at MPI and will always remember him fondly for his sense of humour and his dedication to his profession. He could always be counted on for a smile and was widely known for the always full dish of Hershey Kisses at his desk. Although we didn't see much of each other in retirement, when we did get together, Dave regaled with stories of his world- tour adventures and it was obvious that he was making good use of his retirement years. Dave was a sweetheart who will be missed.

Condolence: To meet Dave was to have an instant friend. Our mornings at the gym were brightened by his presence. He attracted a crowd. If you wanted to know where Dave was you just had to look for the group of people walking together. We will miss his humor and entertaining stories. His loss will be felt by everyone that knew him.

Condolence: Our family knew Dave from Deer Lodge Tennis Club where he was either officiating at tournaments , or attending social functions such as club BBQ's and Pot- luck suppers. . He was always there to help out . He took many photos during tournaments and some of those remain on the walls of the club. He was proud of his tomatoes and would often bring in some to share with members.. We feel blessed to be good friends with Amanda, Mark and Tia and express our condolences to all the Patten family

Condolence: I remember Dave fondly. He was one of my favorite people to play with at Deer Lodge as he was always ready to hit some balls and to give me advice on how to play the game (more like telling me how I was doing it wrong). Dave also shared his many adventures and his love for his family in the many stories he told. I am sorry for your loss, he was a great man.

Condolence: I worked for several years with Dave at MPI and he helped me with my transition from the General Insurance Division to the Autopac section. Dave was always happy and willing to give anyone any assistance they may need. He was a "go to" type of person. My condolences to his family.
