The Bernie i knew...
To my dear Jeff, Marie, Chris, Richard.....
Loss is never easy, we will never be prepared for loss no matter what, my heart breaks as I remember Bernie for the kind, polite and generous man he was....
They say life is a journey measured by the lives we positively touched, im glad to have met him because his kindness positively touched my life.......Bernie was a humble man and humility has now become a very rear quality in us humans... Bernie was humble....
I remember when I first met him - he would call me "Pani" and i corrected him a couple times and said "Dianne" but he kept calling me "Pani" - I went days wondering why he called me "Pani"... at first I wondered if maybe he was mistaking me for someone else.... so I eventually asked Jeff "who is Pani an Ex girlfriend??" of course Jeff had no idea .... But we soon found out from Aunty Mina and Uncle John who told us it was a compliment..... needless to say I was releived to hear that...
Jeff, Chris, Richard, remember him as the man he was, he was a responsible, generous loving father, he was a family man, he took care of you boys and he loved his family...
Marie, last Christmas when you said you were going to get your hair done I said "get it blond" and I asked Bernie "don't you think she would look great with blond" his response was "my wife is beautiful no matter what colour her hair is"... And that night he made us watch all the old pictures from when the boys were kids and of his and Marie's wedding....
There is nothing I can say to make you feel better, to live is to die and Bernie lives in in all of his sons his blood runs in your veins...
Keep him in your dreams, in your heart and know he lives in all of you.....
With love, prayers and kindness
Your wife, sister-in-law and daughter-in-law...
Dianne & OceanLili...
