Benjamin Esteban Sr.
December 29, 1940 – March 14, 2023

Benjamin Esteban Sr., passed away, peacefully, at the age of 82, on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, during his
stay at the Grace Hospital, in Winnipeg, MB.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lilia, his son, Ben Jr., his grandsons, Ozius and Lazorus. Ben will also
be remembered fondly by family and friends in Winnipeg and in the Philippines.

He is predeceased by his parents, Simprosa and Raymundo Esteban, and his siblings Flora, Alfredo,
Eufreciano, and Ricardo.

Ben was born in Bibiclat, Nuevo Ecija, Philippines on December 29, 1940. In 1974, he immigrated to
Canada, followed by his wife Lilia and son Ben Jr in 1976.

Ben was a lover of music. Like his younger sister Flora, Ben had a beautiful voice and a talent with many
instruments. If there was a piano, guitar or ukulele near by, there he would be, entertaining others with
his songs and singing.

Ben was also had a passion for fashion and shoes, especially cow boy boots. Whenever there was an
outing he would always dress up smartly in a blazer, hat and dress shoes.

We would like to thank the staff at Grace hospital for the wonderful care they gave to Ben these last few
months.

The Lamay will be held at Mosaic Funeral home, 1839 Inkster Blvd, on Friday, March 31st from 6:00pm –
12:00am. Funeral Mass will be at St Joseph’s Parish, 355 Andrew’s St on Saturday, April 1st, 2023 at
10:00am, presided by Fr. Bo Wardzinski.
