Mom was born in Talim Island, Binangonan Rizal, Philippines on April 25, 1943. She worked hard her entire life and gave everything she had to everyone. She was the epitome of love and kindness. Mom immigrated to Canada in 1972 and married Dad in June of 1975. Together, they had 3 children. They lived a happy and humble life and mom continued to work hard as a seamstress. She retired when her first grandchild was born, and she took pride in providing care for her four grandchildren. Mom loved her Winnipeg Jets, Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Raptors, often cheering loudly at the TV. She enjoyed walks and could often be found dancing in the living room. She was truly a ray of sunshine and will be dearly missed by all.

The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the Health Sciences Centre ER staff, SICU staff (esp. Rico, Meredith, and Jessica), and the staff of A5 for the exceptional care provided to mom and our family during her last days. Words cannot express how grateful we are for all of you.

Lamay will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 6:00 pm – 12:00 am at Mosaic Funeral Chapel and Reception Centre (1839 Inkster Blvd). Funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church (748 Keewatin St). A private funeral ceremony will take place on a later date with immediate family. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or to the charity of one’s choice. Please be kind to one another – as that would be mom’s wish for all.
