Obituary for Edito Recuenco Jr.

It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Edito Recuenco Jr.

Edito is survived by his wife Felicidad, two daughters Vanessa (Wilson) and Venus (James), his grandchildren Mikaela and Makaio, his brother Efren (Tessie), and his sister Mary Ann.

Edito, known to his friends and family as Ed or June, worked as a Chief Auto-Mechanic and taxi driver in the Philippines before immigrating to Winnipeg with our family in 1990. Dad spent his whole career as a transmission technician at WesTrans Winnipeg until he retired in 2014.

Edito was a kind and gentle soul who loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He always had a funny side and always wanted his daughters and grandchildren to be laughing. He had a passion for cars and would spend his free time fixing cars for friends and family. Ed loved eating at his favourite restaurants, watching TV, and fixing cars.

Sadly our father was diagnosed with Dementia 8 years ago, but even through the hard times his kind heart and silliness were still present. We are grateful for the caring team at Extendicare Oakview Place where he spent his last few years in peace and safety.

Dad, Thank you for everything you’ve done for us. We love you so much. Rest in Peace
