Obituary for Harriet McIvor
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our Mother Harriet McIvor on September 9, 2022, at the age of 82 years old.
She will be sadly missed by her children Sally (Shawn), Mark (Mary), Lydia (Bruce), Sisters Olga and Judy, Brothers Dennis and Andrew.
Her 20 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren. One of her Great Grandsons, Dion McIvor whom she raised, was a major part of her life, Dion catered to her all hours of the day and night. She cherished Dion so much and she travelled with him all over. Dion will miss her dearly.
She was predeceased by her husband Walter Sr., Son Walter Jr., Daughter Barbara, Granddaughter Maureen, Grandson Glen, Great Grandsons Ricky Jr. and Brody.
Harriet was a caring, loving person to her family and whoever she met in her travels. She was taught to work hard at an early age and always done her best at every job she was at. Her career was about helping people in childcare, taxi, cook, Advocate for Residential School Survivors. Her devotion was always putting the needs of others before her own. We thank the Creator for having blessed us to have had such a beautiful, caring Mother to us all.
