George was born in Silver Bay Mb to parents Angus and Elizabeth Matheson of Moosehorn Mb. On November 2, 1956 at the age of 2 years with Hugh(4), the brothers began their lives with Dave and Janet Robertson. To ease the transition, older sister Bessie accompanied them to Marquette for about a month.

Many decades of George’s life were devoted to mechanics and truck driving, mostly with Danny Humiski.
He will be sorely missed by his Matheson family especially his children Lisa, Carla (Jeff Gagnon), Nicole, Sonia, Brandi and George. Missed as well by his grandchildren Alex, Makenzie, Nicholas, Natasha, Luke, Hope, Faith and Hunter. Mourning him is his Robertson family Allen, Gordon (Jane Field), Loreen (Rick Hogg), Donna Tait and their families. He leaves many relatives and friends.

George was predeceased by all his parents, a daughter (1983), multiple Matheson, Robertson, Aitkins and Toogood relatives. He greatly missed his brother Hugh (2021) and his daily phone calls.

The family would like to thank Brian Macmillan for a lifetime of friendship and support to George. We are also grateful for the decades of professional expertise and kind support provided by Dr. Barry Macmillan and Rhonda.

Cremation has taken place. No service will be held. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations, if desired, may be made to charity of one’s choice.
