Obituary for Klaus Ellersiek
Suddenly on July 26, 2022 Klaus passed away at the age of 80 years.
Klaus was born on September 25, 1941 in Bielefeld, Germany to Johann and Frieda Ellersiek. He was married to Dorothy Ellersiek (Riemer) on October 25, 1975.
Over the years Klaus and Dorothy would live in places in Germany, Wainwright, Alberta, Gimli, Manitoba and finally settling back in Winnipeg. Klaus was known for his charm, his sense of humour and his love for cats.
Klaus is predeceased by his wife Dorothy (May 2005); sisters Agnes and Trϋde and brothers Hans, Horst and Manfred. He is survived by his son Stephan as well as many nephews, nieces and their families.
A celebration of Klaus’ life will be held on Sunday September 18, 2022 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 300 Trent Avenue, no burial service will be held.
Klaus will be greatly missed by his many family, friends, neighbours and especially his son Stephan.
