Obituary for Giuseppe "Joe" D'Andrea

Giuseppe “Joe” D’Andrea
May 9, 1974 - July 16, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of our beloved Joe at the age of 48, as a result of a motor vehicle accident outside of Smithers, B.C.
Mourning his loss are his wife Catherine D’Andrea, son Michele, parents Michele and Josephine D’Andrea, mother-in-law Cheryl (John) Healey, brother-in-law Andrew (Jasmine) Kmet; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins in Canada, the United States, and Italy. Lastly, he will be deeply missed by his loyal companions, Bella and Max.
Joe was predeceased by his grandparents, Giuseppe D’Andrea and Pasqualina Del Bouno-D’Andrea, Domenico Zarrillo and Maria Quagliata-Zarrillo.
Joe was a bright, curious, and outgoing child. He had a great sense of humour and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Always active, he loved sports, especially hockey, and played throughout from peewee, continuing to Ile-des-Chenes North Stars, then the Elks and was often called upon by neighbouring teams to fill in.
In Joe’s early working years, he loved the food industry, where customers would ask and wait to be seated in his section only. Subsequently, he moved to the construction industry, proudly being a “Pipeliner” for SA Energy and O.J. Pipelines.
Joe was passionate about living, loving, caring and always giving. He found joy in traveling overseas as a young child and continued to do so with his wife and son. He developed a love for cooking, fishing and capturing his latest moments on video.
Joe was so very proud of his wife and his son, as well as his entire family and all his friends, near and far. He was a great conversationalist, staying connected with everyone right to the end. There is nothing he would not do for them; he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
