Obituary for Buenaventura Manalo

It is with sadness and heavy hearts that our beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather, BUENAVENTURA MANALO, passed away on April 17, 2022 at the age of 87 years.

He leaves behind his 9 children, Edgar (Creselda), Elizabeth, Larry (Cristina), Edna, Shirley, Jun (Emilyn), Silver (Leonora), Richard (Gerlie) and Howell; his grandchildren Michael (Abigail), Allan (Marla), Roman, Zhaneth, Karen (Michael), Kresta (Neslea), Stephen, Lana, Steven, Keith, Cobie, Jharden, Jhian, Jhamille, Jhillian, Sivrel, Vrisel, Geriyana, Gherick, Owen and Hayden; great grandchildren, Veronica, Gabriel, Eunice, Matthias, Raiza, Larissa, and Aaliyah; as well as numerous relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Crisanta; daughter, Catherine; grandchild, Gerran; great grandchild, Skye and the other baby angels; parents, Marcelino and Patricia; and his ten siblings.

Ben, as he is fondly called, was born in the Philippines and moved here in Winnipeg on March 1996. He loved singing “karaoke”, dancing, gardening and just socializing. He also enjoyed watching Filipino action movies and game shows. His sense of humor would be missed dearly.

The family would like to thank the staff of Calvary Place Personal Care Home for their care and compassion during his stay there.
