Obituary for Carmelita Perey
We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved sister, aunt, mother and grandmother Carmelita Perey on Monday, April 18, 2022, age 69. Predeceased by her father, Cresenciano Perey and mother, Luisa Perey. Left to cherish her memories are her two children Kristina (Rowell) Perey and Raymond (Ashley) Perey; three grandchildren Jamielyn, Aiva and Khamila Perey; her sisters and brothers; Amelia (Lito) Vargas (Philippines), Danilo (Susan) Perey (Philippines), Emma (Jowen) Sangalang, Fernando (Cora) Perey (Philippines), Gloria (Romano) De Castro, Herminia (Carlos) Lacson, Ireneo (Jovita) Perey, Josephine Perey, Eduardo (Josie) Perey, Emily (Ramon) Javier; nieces, nephews and extended family.
Carmelita was born and raised in Cavite, Philippines and immigrated to Winnipeg, MB in 1992. Carmelita was a strong, independent, single mother, who loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She shared her unconditional love and kindness to all her siblings, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed but forever loved.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 6:00pm to 12:00 midnight at Mosaic Funeral Services located at 1839 Inkster Blvd. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Edwards Parish followed by a burial at Assumption Cemetery.
