Obituary for Ethel Clark
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma, Ethel Maude Clark (nee Ratz) on Monday, March 28, 2022 at the age of 98 years. She will be greatly missed but live on in our hearts.
Ethel is survived by her son Murray (Mary), her grandsons Jason and Brady (Laura) and her great grandchildren Mackenzie, Jackson, Nixon and Nash and many nieces and nephews.
Mom was predeceased by her husband William (Al); parents, Edward and Edith, her eldest son Randy and her brothers and sisters William, Harvey, Betty, Dorothy, John, Gordon, George and Ken.
Mom and Dad enjoyed 51 years together before his passing in 1998. They had many wonderful years together which included farming, buying a campground in the Okanagan and traveling. Mom loved her family, especially her great grandchildren. She enjoyed golfing in the summer and curling in the winter. She was an active volunteer in her community especially the United Church and the Legion. Gardening, puzzles, reading, playing cards (especially crib) and knitting were just a few of her favourite past times. Ethel loved nothing better than a glass of wine and a game of crib with Murray at the sport bar in Middle Church. The family wishes to send a special thanks to the staff at Middle Church Care home for their compassion and care during the last 7 years.
In keeping with Ethel’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or a charity of your choice.
