Obituary for Raphael Noah Villanueva

Raphael Noah Villanueva, 24 years old, born on April 14, 1997 at St. Boniface General Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Raphael is survived by his mother, Ruth Villanueva, and older brother, Yahweh Villanueva. He was preceded in death by his father, Glicerino Villanueva (1966-2004). Raphael’s family and close friends would describe him as a kind-hearted, gentle, intelligent, and comedic individual. Your first impression of Raphael shows how caring, respectful, and attentive he was to everyone.

Raphael attended Holy Ghost School (Kindergarten-Grade 8) and St. Paul’s High School (Grade 9-12). He was involved in theatre, choir, and youth in philanthropy during his time at St. Paul’s. Raphael’s many hobbies included carpentry, graphic design, singing, drawing, music, etc.

Raphael started his studies at the University of Manitoba in 2015, switching to Computer Science in 2019 with intentions to complete his studies in late 2022 and graduating earlier 2022. Raphael was on the Dean’s Honour list and talked passionately about his studies and future aspirations. As a son and brother was loving, caring, and thoughtful. He never forgot to say “I love you and Good Night” before bed and in the mornings, “Good Morning, How was your sleep?” Raphael leaves behind many beautiful and loving memories with his family and friends. Raphael lived an impactful and meaningful life. He will be incredibly missed.
