Obituary for Rolando E. Almirez
Rolando Escudero Almirez, 72, passed away on February 10, 2022.
Rolando (Rolly) was born in Mauban, Quezon, Philippines to Julian Almirez and Castoria Escudero. He is the youngest of 6 children. He lived in Canada since October 2012. He loved spending his time singing and as he got older it became his passion. He worked as a carpenter. Rolando was always there to help relatives and friends with household projects, or whatever else people needed him for.
Rolando is survived by his three daughters, Emelda (Hector) De Leon, Heide (Erliy) Topasi and Johanna (Jayson) Jupiter; Five grandchildren, Charmaine, Chelsea, Abigail, Hayley and Gerald; older brother, Rosie Almirez. Rolando was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Myrna Cejo; older brothers, Willy and Hiyo and older sisters, Norma and Nelda.
Lamay/Viewung will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at West St. Paul Cremation and Funeral Services commencing at 6:00 Pm. Prayers will be offered at 7:00 Pm, officiated by Monsignor Enrique Samson Jr.
According to the newest Provincial Covid-19 Health directive, 50% of building occupancy is allowed with full vaccination status. Attendance is capped at 50 if both unvaccinated and vaccinated attend. Non-medical masks are required through your visit.
