Obituary for Roberto Bitagan Estillore

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, brother, Roberto Bitagan Estillore aka “Bet” at the age of 51. He peacefully joined his creator after a lengthy illness on December 31, 2021.

He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his wife Margie of nineteen years, his five children Julia Robert, Jannah Robert, Jazztine Robert, John Robert, Judith Margarit, his siblings Merlinda (Victor) Nash (Florida, USA), Zenaida (Mike) Bishop (Florida, USA), Virginia (Joe) De Rocco (Florida, USA), Loreto Jr. (Shirley) Estillore (Philippines), Luzviminda and nephew Paulo Estillore, Jhess (Alma) Estillore, Ricardo (Grace) Estillore (Philippines), Elvie (Manuel) Torrefalma and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Levie and Loreto Estillore, his younger sister Brenda Lee.

Roberto was born in Pob. Sagbayan, Bohol, Philippines as the youngest son of his parents Levie Bitagan Estillore and Loreto Estillore. He loved farming and raising livestock in the Philippines. Roberto worked as a Junior Accounting Clerk for Legend International Resorts in Subic Bay, Zambales, Philippines when he was still single in 1999. He met and then married the love of his life Margie on February 15, 2003. When they started their family, Roberto was a devoted father and the main caregiver of his children while his wife was working. In 2008, he went to Dubai and worked as a security officer at Jumeirah Hotel; however, it was only for one year as he was diagnosed with a major illness while he was on a one month vacation. Roberto was not able to work anymore and by God’s grace he immigrated with his family to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada in November 2010.
Roberto joyfully made a personal decision in 2004 to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in the Philippines. He was a member of The Maples of Church from 2014 to the present.

Lamay will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am at Mosaic Funeral Home at 1839 Inkster Blvd. with Pastor Lorenz Sallong II officiating.
