Obituary for Rodrigo Diasnes Layco

Rodrigo Layco
September 11, 1959 - May 30, 2021

Rodrigo Layco passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 30th, 2021 at Health Science Center at the age of 61.

Rodrigo is survived by his wife, Teresita, and his children Moses, Jeremy, Nicole, and Erroll.
Rodrigo was born in Cubao, Quezon City, Philippines to Francisco Layco and Jovita Diasnes Layco. He graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines and furthered his education when he immigrated to Winnipeg in 1980 where he would marry his wife, Terestia, on March 3rd, 1984.

Rodrigo was a devoted husband and dedicated father. He was a generous man, always giving so much of himself to others before he even thought of giving to himself. He loved his work, but even more so loved that what he was doing was helping others. He was well travelled and often spoiled his family by taking them on summer vacations. A competitive bowler, among his many skills, was also skillful at cards, and enjoyed his leisure time playing slots. He was a spiritual man and loved to sing, so it only made sense that he was involved in the church choir. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A viewing is scheduled from 4:00pm- 11:00pm on Saturday June 5th, 2021 at Mosaic Funerals at 1839 Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. and the funeral service is scheduled for 11:00am on Monday June 7th, 2021 at St. Edward’s Church at 836 Arlington St. Winnipeg, MB.
