Ernesto Caraan
February 11, 1948 – May 21, 2021
Peacefully on May 21, 2021 at 12:40am, Ernesto passed away at the age of 73 at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Ernesto is predeceased by his parents Pedro and Juanita Caraan, his sisters Apolonia Alvarez and Eli Atienza, and his parents-in-law Mauro and Maria Oprido. Left to cherish his memory are Sons Lucky, Reagan and Jefferson, his daughters Gretchen, Glizelle and Rosalinda, his grandchildren Gwen, Gian, Gab, Calleigh, Pau, Thea, Fraya and Zion, his brothers Rudy, Nardo, Antonio and Danilo Caraan, his sister Victoria Brotonel and many nieces and nephews to mention. Ernesto was born on February 11, 1948 in Lemery, Batangas Philippines. He worked as an assistant cook in Cruise ship for years abroad then decided to settle in 1981 in the Philippines. On May 14, 1981 Ernesto married Gloria Oprido. He was self-employed with his wife doing lots of different businesses. On November 30, 2019, Ernesto together with his wife Gloria and daughter Rosalinda moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba to join his son Jefferson to have a better future and opportunities. However, due to his condition and ailment he couldn’t work and slowly deteriorating. His passion for life was fully dedicated to family. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to other immediate and extended families and friends. The family also extends their appreciation and gratitude to the whole staff of Seven Oaks General Hospital for their help, kindness and compassion.
Ernesto will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
