It is with profound sadness that the family of Bartolome Ditangan Jr. announce his passing on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at the age of 74 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Rizalina; children: Roderick (Josephine) and Belinda (Dallas); grandchildren: Genevieve, Raniella and Isabella; sister: Tessie (Diosdado) Garcia; niece: Joyce; nephews: Jonathan and Jayson; as well as numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son: Rodney; mother: Catalina Viscarra Ditangan; and father: Bartolome Ditangan Sr.

Bart was born in Cavite and raised in Las Pinas, Manila, prior to moving to Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1969. He graduated Red River College as a Diesel Mechanic and also an Electrician. He ultimately became a City of Winnipeg Transit driver and instructor for 26 years before retiring. When he was not working, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was the founder of the "Las Pinas Association", former President and member for many years. He was known as "Bud Boy" with his group of friends. He loved being outside, playing basketball, fixing cars, long driving and social gatherings. His many facial expressions, sarcastic statements, the way he danced and eccentric laughs will be missed.
