Walter Giovanni Bertone
November 19, 1976 – April 27, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Walter Bertone announces his passing at the age of 44. He died peacefully with his mother, sister and uncle at his side. He was preceded by his father Ermanio, his beloved dog Max and his Nonna ‘s and Nonno’s. He is survived by his mother Vincenza, sister Antonella
( Kelly) and his niece Siena. His favourite uncle Zizi Mego.
Walter was born in Winnipeg on November 19, 1976. His greatest joy was his dog Max and his niece Siena. He spent many hours being with each one of them and making them his pride and joy. He would do anything for his sister and his mom when they needed. He was a protector of many and always kept family in his heart. He suffered many things but was not one to share with anyone if it meant it would hurt them, he would rather just keep it quiet. He had a great smile, had some pretty hardy laughs in which is friends and family can still hear, you were always waiting for a sarcastic remark and he sure had a quick wit. Not many know but his attention to detail could drive some of us nuts but that is who he was. He loved to work with his hands and could fix anything he put his mind too. If you needed a hand he would never say no but watch out it would get done fast.
He will be greatly missed by all who have had the time to get to know him and spend time with him.
In Life, we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else will ever fill.
Due to Covid -19 restrictions a private family burial will take place.
Those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us Every day……unseen, unheard but always near, still Loved, still missed and very dear.
