Obituary for Maximo Marasigan

Maximo Marasigan
November 18, 1950 – April 4, 2021
On April 4, 2021 surrounded by his wife and sons, our beloved father, husband and Lolo Maximo “Bobby” Marasigan passed away.

He is pre-deceased by his parents Antonio and Romana Marasigan and siblings Rufina, Pascuala, Avelino, Bienvenido, Alberto and Simeon Marasigan. Bobby is survived by his wife Pacencia, his six sons Marttee, Michael (Irish), Noel (Juneth), Jeffrey (Ruby), Maximo Junior (Kim), Bien (Amy) and many loving grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Guadalupe, Bonifacio, Vicente and many loving nieces and nephews in the Philippines.

Bobby was born in Paombong, Bulacan, Philippines on November 18, 1950 and emigrated to Winnipeg, Canada in the 1970’s, where he and Pacencia worked hard and enjoyed many fun-filled years raising their six boys.

Bobby was a competitive ten-pin bowler, winning many championships and collecting countless trophies over the years. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed playing sports such as tennis, softball and basketball. Bobby appreciated quality time with his family whether it was renting movies together, spending time at the bowling alley or fixing cars with his sons. He also appreciated the outdoors with his family by taking them fishing, camping or on road trips in their cherished Chevy family van.

Bobby was a welder for most of his career before retiring and living out his dream of enjoying the winter seasons visiting his family in the Philippines. Bobby was a very social person, creating lasting friendships through work, the church and his many hobbies.

Words cannot express how much he is loved and how much he will be missed.

“Goodbyes are not forever, until we meet again.”
