Ines also leaves to mourn numerous nieces and nephews from Canada and Italy.

Ines (Mama) was born in Italy and lived there for the first 18 years of her life. She immigrated to Canada (as this was her dream from childhood) along with her husband in 1960 where she lived the rest of her life in Winnipeg, Mb.

In her life's journey she first worked at an apparel factory. Later through the years Ines opened her own grocery store along with her brothers.
It was there she thrived interacting with her customers and had a true sense of purpose within the community.

She was the epitome of the Italian Mother; Mama, Nonna and Zia.
Family, friends, cooking, gardening and her faith were central to her.

She also made the best lasagna by far and her Italian peaches were legendary.
She was strong-willed, but loving, welcoming and engaging to family, friends and even strangers.
Her most treasured times were those spent with her famiglia, especially the grandchildren. In fact her grandson Frankie became her superhero in the last months of her life.

She was the Matriach of the family and will be sadly missed.
The family would like to thank (Seven Oaks) homecare and nursing staff for their care and compassion shown to Ines (Known to them as MaMa.)

In lieu of flowers donation can be made in her name to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation.
