Benita “Mutti” M. Atienza
April 1927 – February 2021
Benita M. Atienza, age 93, of Parang, Mataasnakahoy, Batangas has peacefully joined her Creator on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Benjamin Dauz Atienza, and children Araceli and Manuel Atienza. Mutti will be lovingly remembered by her nine living children, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins and nephews.
Mutti or Ka Bening grew up in a christian family which formed the basic of her spiritual life, passing on to her family such love and spirituality. She devoted much of her time and energy caring for family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. Inay was the light of our lives and was truly an inspiration. Her smile, a very positive outlook in life and stories will never be forgotten.
Due to COVID-19, there are strict guidelines that must be followed.
The family will hold a private viewing on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. Winnipeg, MB. at 4:00 PM to midnight. Prayers will be said at 7:00 P.M. Rev. Father Emmanuel Anani-Presiding.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St. Winnipeg, MB. Monsignor Enrique Samson – Presiding.
followed by cremation.
