Obituary for Blaine Francis Spencer

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of a loving husband and friend, Blaine Francis Spencer after a long courageous battle with Liver and Kidney disease. Blaine slipped away peacefully at 2:33 a.m., February 5th, 2021, at the age of 55, fondly waiting, until Sharon stepped out to get some rest.

Blaine leaves to mourn his beloved ‘Sweetums’, Sharon Watt, and her family; his Aunt Gert; his brother Brad; his brother Darwin’s children; and his many great friends. Blaine was predeceased by his adored parents, Glenn and Margaret Spencer of Herb Lake Landing, and his oldest brother Darwin. Blaine will surely be missed.

He was born in Thompson Manitoba, on December 6th, 1965. No one could predict then, that meeting Sharon on New Year’s Eve 2009, would be the beginning of his cherished lifelong relationship. In 10 wonderful years, they had many happy times at their cozy cabin at Herb Lake Landing together; enjoying many outdoor goings-on, like Snowmobiling, Quadding, and Seadooing. They were happiest fishing for the biggest Pickerel from their boat on Wekusko Lake, gardening the largest Sunflowers and pumpkins, or cutting firewood - with the biggest circular saw you might ever see! He was such a character, and there were always many laughs with Blaine. He was always the sunshine in the room, light-hearted and playful. He was an avid Jets fan, and cheered all their wins and bewailed every loss, through the big screen, whether alone in the room or among friends.

In his final days, Blaine’s heart had two loves, Sharon, and Herb Lake Landing, where his soul will fly free and his ashes will fall to their eternal rest; no illness, no shadows, no pain ... just complete peace, comfort and contentment.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation of Manitoba, Kidney Foundation of Manitoba or Transplant Manitoba would be appreciated. There is no memorial planned at this time.
