I met Tita Mila in my high school years as her daughter and I became friends. The first time I met her though I was a little bit scared. Didn't know if she was one of those strict titas. She had that vibe. Hehe. But I was completely wrong. Every time I came over to their house, the first thing she always asked me was, "Did you eat?" "Come and eat!" or "Do you have a boyfriend?" My gosh! I was so shy and laughed when she asked about the boyfriend part. She was the sweetest and was one of the most caring people I've met.

She will be forever missed and never forgotten.
Condolences to Aileen and to the family. 💐🙏

Tita Mila was my savior! The time I was called full time at work, I needed a Baby sitter who I can trust and depend on my precious Baby. My close friend introduced me to her as she’s also the one who takes care of her son. The first time I met Tita Mila was she looks very strict just like my teacher in Grade School. But when you get to know, she’s easy to talk with. From them on, we treated each other as a friend and a mom rolled in one. She took care of my girls just like her own.
I will remember so many good things about her. She’s very thoughtful and sweet. My kids will remember that their Lola brings them to Garden City Mall to stroll around and eat thru a Bus transportation. Our kids were so happy riding the bus for the first time with their Lola. She will end the day by buying them a treat from Dollarama. And she will make the kids day a memorable one!
She also loves to cook and bake for us. She knows I’m a big fan of her cooking and she cooks really good food. This is also her way to catch things up with us as mommies. We will stay a bit in her house and feed us and will do our never ending chats. She’s so kind to us!
When pandemic starts last year, we have to plan differently and needed to stop bring the kids to her. It was hard knowing she helped our family a lot…means, A LOT! But we did it for her safety and safety of everyone. But our communications never stop there. We still look up each other, do window visits from time to time and long talks on the phone.
I even mention to her the last time we talk, that we will walk and get some fresh air in the park as I know she loves to do long walks. As she’s a woman in action, loves to go around the area and do long walks for groceries, doctor’s appointment and church to hear mass.
She’s truly a great Mom, friend and Lola to everyone who needs her help. She’s caring, kind and selfless. We will miss her so much but we know heaven gain another Angel. To Tita, please bring my grateful heart to you in heaven. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for me and my family! Enjoy your chats with our creator and Rest in Peace! We love you so much! You will never be forgotten!

I don’t have a lot of memories with Auntie Mila but at one point in my life I had a chance to talked to her over the phone. It was a memory that remained in my ❤️. Sending our condolences to Tito Albert, Aileen and family.

Rest In Peace Tita.
