To God We Belong and To God We Will Return
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mum. Mary passed away peacefully at Concordia Hospital with her daughter’s at her side.
At 99 years old, Mum loved to sing all her favorite songs still and knew all the words
Mary was born is Dundee, Scotland and immigrated to Winnipeg with her family in 1967, she worked at the Viscount Gort Hotel for many years and was known simply as “Scotty” by everyone.
Mum was best known for saying “Hello Love” to everyone she met. And referring to her family as her “Kids, Kids, Kids”.
Mary is predeceased by her husband John in 1991 and her Mum (Nannie) in 1988.
Survived by her four children, Pat (Dave) in Scotland, Brian (Jackie) in Nova Scotia, Maureen and Jackie (Albert) in Winnipeg. Also her five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
We would like to thank the staff at the Concordia Hospital (2 West) for their kindness and attention they give to our Mum and the Nurses, Aides and Case Coordinator from Access West who looked after Mom with the upmost care. To Westwood Estates, Thank you. Mom enjoyed her many years living there where she made so many friends. Mum loved it when, on her way out for lunch with her daughter Maureen, Susan (Building Manager) who was in her office , would stop Mum to give her a Grandpa Candy (Werther’s) Mum looked forward to that.

We Will Miss You Mum
