September 5, 1936 – December 14, 2020
After a life full of challenges and triumphs, our dad, Fredesvindo Castro Galvan, born on September 5, 1936 in Concepcion, Tarlac, Philippines, was summoned back in the loving arms of the Lord on December 14, 2020, surrounded by some family members at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre.
He was predeceased by his parents, Domingo and Belen, his baby siblings. He will be lovingly be remembered by his wife, Elizabeth; sons Andy (Leah) and Archie (Rose); grandkids Angel, Anika and Anaya; his sister Imelda (Toto) and their kids: Dey, Do, Nang and Rommel; Brothers and Sisters in law; family members and friends.
Dad worked and retired as government employee in the Philippines until, they moved to Canada. He enjoyed walking, being with family and travelling back to Hawaii and the Philippines. He was a proud Canadian!
Due to the strict government regulations, the viewing will be limited to a virtual setting on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 4:00pm-12:00am CT. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm CT on the same day, officiated by Rev. Fr. R. Sarce. The funeral mass, will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, 11:00am CT at St. Edwards Parish Church, officiated by Rev. Fr. R. Sarce. Again, the services will be streamed online. Cremation Services will be held on December 23, 2020.
