December 4, 1941 – November 4, 2020
Nenita was born in the Philippines on December 4, 1941, and was the sixth child of Claudio and Marciana Hernandez. She worked briefly at The Department of Education Bureau of Private Schools in Manila, until she married her childhood sweetheart on December 2, 1961. Then they started a family and she devoted her life to be a loving, caring wife and mother. Nenita migrated to Canada with her family on March 9, 1979 and shortly thereafter needed to get a heart operation. Ever since then, Nenita was in and out of clinics and hospitals, never letting her condition keep her down. She always found the strength and will for her family. Nenita made sure to also set aside time for our Lord Jesus.
Nenita was predeceased by her parents Claudio Contreras Hernandez and Maciana Servanez. Nenita is survived by her husband Jess, children John Dominic (Tonina), and Jose Jr.; grandsons John Anthony (Alexis), Robert James, Michael Thomas; granddaughter Zyla; great granddaughter’s Emilia and Tenley.
