Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Tita and Lola surrounded by her family. Mercedes Cruz Barcolta is survived by her husband Mario E. Barcolta and their three children Marianne, Vince and JR. Along with her family in Canada; Eric (Jasmin) Jeric, Ghia, Jermaine, Albert (Ellen) Mark (Charlene), Jocelyn, Martin, Joshua, Joy (Ismael) Aaron, Ariz, Aleksander, Ruby (Tessie) Rodney (Lorraine) Brooklyn, Ryder, Terry, Jane (Michael) D’Arcy, Finn, Charlene, Neil (Vicky) Jennifer (Carlo), Ser Jordan, Marie Wendy Cruz.
She is predeceased by her Mother Hilaria Cortez Cruz and Father Esteban Castillo Cruz. Along with her Siblings Cely, Demi and Ansing.
Mercedes was born in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, Philippines on March 11, 1962. She came to Winnipeg, Canada in 1985. She was married to her husband Mario on October 1989; 31 wonderful years together.
She loved to cook, watch concerts, listen to music, shopping and going for outdoor walks. Best memory she had was being surrounded by all of her loved ones for her last days.
The Cruz and Barcolta Family would like to extend their wishes and thank you to St. Boniface Hospital – Acute Critical Care Unit. All the doctors and nurses throughout the whole ward for the care and comfort during her time.
