BELLA BASA POSTHUMUS,
October 28, 1937 – October 14, 2020
We are very heartbroken with the sudden passing of our beloved mother, Bella at 82 years of age survived cancer earlier in life but unfortunately succumbed to a recently discovered heart condition. She was a very beautiful, strong, big-hearted, and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Bernadette, sons Billy and Roger, grandkids Kirsten and Niko, her sister Cora, brother-in-law Eddie, niece Mariver, nephew Allan, and all the nieces and nephews in Canada, Philippines, and the UK; preceded by her husband Matt and sister Precy.
Bella was a very strong woman and the fearless leader of her loving family. She was independent and driven. Her grandkids are immensely grateful for having such a powerful, patient, and compassionate presence in their lives. She led by example to strive for excellence and never anything less. She was a mentor, friend, and number one fan for those she loved. Her support never wavered, and that will always be appreciated. Despite living far from her relatives, she never missed a birthday and was always on time for even the little things. She was a generous soul and always remained thoughtful. Her grandkids never ceased to feel loved even from far away.
Bella loved classic movies and TV series, game shows, the Rat Pack artists, and classic James Bond movies. She was passionate about her cooking and enjoyed sharing it with others. She believed in living a lighter life and would surprise us with a playful sense of humor at times. She had a very generous heart and a strong devotion to her family. And lastly, she had style.
