Susana Unrau
March 6, 1934 – January 21, 2020
Susana was born in Chaco, Paraguay on March 6, 1934 to Heinrich S.and Katharina (Giesbrecht) Hiebert
Leaves to mourn her family son Henry (Lynne), daughter Sara, grandchildren Chelsey, Celleste, Twila, Bryton, John and Alex, great grandchildren, Mila, Anthony an Alayah.
Susana grew up in a large family and was one of the younger of 15 children born. Living on a farm, life was not always easy.
As a young woman she worked as nurses aid and house maid in Asuncion and trained in reflexology.
Susan married Peter Unrau on February 25th, 1968 and they had two children Henry and Sara.
The family moved to Canada for several years and returned to Paraguay but returned to Canada in the early 80’s and settled permanently.
The family moved many times but Susana spend her last 20 plus years at Kingsford Haus she loved it there. Only after suffering a stroke in July 2018 Susana moved to Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home to spend her remaining days.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bethania for their compassion an care of Susana .
Funeral Service will take place at River East Mennonite Church, 825 Panet Rd., Winnipeg, MB. on Monday, January 27, 2020 at 10:30 AM
