Obituary for Angelo Costantini

Angelo Costantini
September 22, 1948 – December 5, 2019

With family by his side, Angelo passed away at the age of 71, at St. Boniface General Hospital. Angelo was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and active volunteer in his community, working behind-the-scenes and out of the spotlight to support many causes. He greeted everyone he encountered with laughter and a smile, and always looked for ways he could make things better.
He was born in Bascianella, Commune di Colledara, Abruzzo, Italy, the 11th of 12 children to Sofia and Paolo. Angelo moved to Canada at the age of 19 before meeting his partner of 50 years Clara at a Social in Winnipeg. Angelo was recently recognized by the Sons of Italy for his devotion and contributions and was also a major supporter of the Kidney Foundation.
Angelo’s professional contributions can be seen throughout the Province of Manitoba in the structures and buildings constructed in his decades as an Ironworker. Angelo’s work later transitioned into renovating homes and businesses; work he found particularly rewarding as he loved to see how his eye for detail and craftsmanship brought happiness to others.
Left to cherish his memory are loving wife Clara, children Michael (Jennifer), Tania (Brian), grandchildren Siena, Ariella & Benedetto, and his siblings: Pasquale, Giovanni, Maria, Ulderico, and Dina, including many siblings-in-law, nieces and nephews in Italy and Canada.
Angelo was predeceased by his Mother Sofia Mantini, and Father Paulo Costantini, siblings: Matilde, Luigi, Rodolfo, Mafalda, Sabatino, and Severino and siblings-in-law: Berardo, Giovanni, Maria, Fernanda, and Marcello, Tecla, and Emilia.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to his family and friends who provided support and company for Angelo and Clara at the hospital. The family also extends their appreciation and gratitude to the many doctors and staff who supported his care at the Grace and St. Boniface Hospitals.
Condolences will be offered at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Winnipeg, MB, with the Mass of Resurrection to follow at 11:00 am to be presided by Rev. Father Sam Argenziano.
Entombment will follow at Four Apostles Mausoleum, Green Acres Memorial Gardens at 1 Green Acres Lane, Navin, MB.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or Cancercare Manitoba in his memory.

Riposa in Pace.
