Remedios Sensano Biag
July 1, 1936 – September 27, 2019

Remedios Sensano Biag, age 83, passed peacefully in her sleep on September 27, 2019 at Maples Personal Care Home in Winnipeg, MB.
Remedios was born on July 1, 1936 in Paoay, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She was the youngest daughter of Pedro Biag and Filomena Sensano. She attended school in the Philippines with her five siblings, sisters Rosalina, Ambrosia, Celestina and brother, Alejandro.
At the age of 34, she immigrated to Canada in 1970, making Winnipeg, Manitoba her new home. Better known as Remy, she found work as a seamstress for Lantry. She later moved on to work as a Dietary Aide at Missionary Oblate Sisters in St. Boniface, where she retired. Remedios did not have any children of her own, she is survived by her nephews and nieces in Canada and Philippines, numerous grand nieces and nephews.
Besides spending time with her family and friends, Remy had a passion for cooking and sewing. She enjoyed gardening when she lived in her first house on Simcoe Street, later moving to assisted living. During her time at Autumnwood, she often participated in recreational activities and encouraged others to attend. When she later moved to Maples Personal Care Home, she loved to dance and play bingo. She loved weekly visits from family members and enjoyed talking about all her grand and great grand nieces and nephews.
Remy was a loving and caring person. She had touched many lives with her generosity and passion for helping others.
Remedios Sensano Biag will always be loved and greatly missed. Rest in Paradise Lola!
