Glen Wright
April 5, 1943 – June 7, 2019
It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Glen Wright on June 7, 2019. He was our dad, grandfather, great- grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his children Sharon (Howard) and their children Jessica and Christopher Lawrence; daughter Carol and her children Ashley and her son Deegan, Britney and David Sadler; son Glen Jr (Marie) and their son Cordell Wright. He also leaves behind his sister Audrey of Brandon along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre deceased by his wife Olive in 2012. He was born in 1944 and raised in the east end of Brandon. He met Olive while working at the Prince Edward Hotel where they later married in 1968. They moved to Winnipeg in 1989 where he worked at Kleysen and Bison Transport as a long haul truck driver for 17 plus years eventually retiring from Bison Transport in 2006. He enjoyed getting together with family, reading and collecting classic car books, model cars, going to local car shows and watching Barrett Jackson Auction Saturday afternoons. We will forever cherish the memories, laughs and good times we’ve spent together. The family would like to thank Maria for helping with appointments and shopping along with the staff at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit for the care and compassion Glen and his family has received during his stay.
