Obituary for Jenett Shirley Boyko

Jenett Shirley Boyko
July 27, 1944 – June 3, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jenett Shirley Boyko (nee Behnke) on June 3, 2019, at Grace Hospice in Winnipeg. She died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 74 after a tough fight with cancer.
Jenett was born in Winnipeg on July 27, 1944, to Louis and Mary (deceased). She will be lovingly remembered by her son Michael (Jenn) and their children, Madeline and Alexander; their son Christopher ; brother Bob (Judy),(deceased) Behnke and niece Donna (Tim) Moran and their children Andrew and Jason; and nephew Paul.
Jenett was a devoted wife, a proud mother and loving Baba. She was a Registered Nurse and after time out to raise her children, became a paraprofessional in early and middle years schools in Winnipeg.
She loved to cook, play golf and travel, taking many trips throughout North America, the Caribbean and Europe with family and friends. After retirement, Jenett spent winters in Mesa, Arizona. When not heading down south, Jenett loved seeing and taking care of her grandchildren.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019, at 10:00 am. St. Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Ave.
In lieu of flowers and if firends so desire, contributions may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society,
