Obituary for Vincenza Nardiello (Tummillo)

Vincenza Nardiello (Tummillo)
May 26, 1927 – May 15, 2019
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Vincenza Nardiello (Tummillo) on May 15, 2019. Vincenza passed peacefully at Seven Oaks General Hospital surrounded by her family.
Vincenza was born in Muro Lucano on May 26, 1927 to Gerardo Tummillo and Angela Maria Trotta. Even as a little girl, Vincenza always cared for others before herself. Being the eldest of four siblings, Vincenza ended her education early to help her mother take the care of her younger siblings. It was in helping to raise her siblings that Vincenza developed the selflessness of caring for others. Throughout her life bringing people together and seeing the joy in others is what fueled her every day. Her passion for bringing people together came hand with her cooking; to say it was delicious would be an understatement.
At the age of 24 Vincenza married Giuseppe Nardiello in Muro Lucano, Potenza. Within the first few years of Marriage Vincenza became a mother to Angelina, Dina and Vito. Giuseppe opened a cheese store in Muro Lucano.Later, they moved to Milan to make a better life for their family. Vincenza travelled between Milan and Muro Lucano. In October 1965 Vincenza and Giuseppe immigrated to Canada where she continued to love and care for her family and friends and even gained a reputation on Beverly Street for her wonderful bread.
Vincenza was predeceased by her husband Giuseppe, brother Matteo, sister Marianna, and her brother Antonio.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Angelina (Franco), Dina (Brian), Vito (Domenica) and her grandchildren Anthony (Marina), Jessica and Joey.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Tozzi, Joey Nardiello, Gino Ricci, Sabino Tummillo, Joey Pagano, and Roman Macario. Honorary Pallbearers Jessica Nardiello, Marina Malvern
