January 24, 1948 – April 24, 2019

Jaime Faller Aragon, known as “Jimmy”, passed in peace on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at the age of 71 years. He was born on January 24, 1948 in Mandaluyong, Philippines. His immigration to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada in 1975, enabled multiple generations of the Aragon family to follow suit.
Jaime will be forever remembered by his wife of 23 years, Tessie. He will be lovingly remembered by his six children, Alvin (Rosabel), Maricar (Rico) Gutierrez, JayJay (Raquel), Gerald (Eileen and Aisha), Joyce (Renardo) Edwards, and James (Pamela); and stepsons JC (Jenelle) and Jimmy (Christine). He will be fondly missed by his nineteen grandchildren, Ryle, Rhea, Tyra, Riley, Christopher, Rhys, Rezhia, Jara, Priscilla, James, Ryzel, Lizzie, Amiah, Sophia, Angela, JJ, Marlowe, Kenzo and Juan; four step grandchildren, Jada, Jelyn, Jaxen, and Julia; and one great-grandchild, Heiress.
He is survived by his siblings Elsa, Veni (Menchie), Ludy (Romy) Santos, and Baby (Bunny) Aquino; former wife, Isabel; former partners, Linda, Nene and Josie; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jaime was preceded in death by his parents, Roberta and Juan; siblings Elda, Gilbert, Emma and Yoly; and brother in-law, Ben.
Jaime was a welder for over 30 years and retired at MacDon Industries. He was well-known in the community as a former basketball player. He enjoyed singing karaoke, travelling, watching the Food Network, trying new restaurants, and keeping up with the latest fashion trends. He was diligent in providing for his family, and ensured everyone around him was taken care of — no matter how grand or minor the gesture. His genuine smile, jokes, charm, and stories will be sincerely missed by his family, extended family, and dear friends.
