Francesco Torquato
April 25, 1930 – February 3, 2019
It is with deep sadness that we announce sudden passing of Francesco Torquato at his home in Winnipeg MB on Sunday February 3rd, 2019 at the age of 88 years old. Francesco was born in San Mango D'Aquino, Italy on April 25th, 1930 then immigrated to Canada for a better life and to be with other family in 1968. He had one job since he came to Canada and worked many years at Canadian Tool and Die which he truly enjoyed as he worked with many family member until retirement. He had a passion for gardening and spent countless hours taking care of his many pets throughout the years.
Francesco was predeceased by both his parents Saverio Torquato and Saveria Fiorillo and two of his sons Gianfranco and Saverio Torquato.
Francesco survived by his wife Antonia Colosimo, daughter Saveria Curcio, "Salvatore” grandchildren Maria Curcio, " Gianni Tuzi " Giovanni Curcio "Daniela" and great children Luca and Sophia Curcio and also many other family in Winnipeg and Italy.
Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Winnipeg, MB.
Viewing and Condolences will take place at 10:00 am and Mass will follow at 11:00 am with Reverend Father Sam Argenziano presiding.
Interment will follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley St. Winnipeg, MB.
