Obituary for Evelyn Winifred Andrews
EVELYN ANDREWS
November 28, 1921 – January 12, 2019
Peacefully, on January 12, 2019, Evelyn passed away at the age of 97 at the Park Manor Nursing Home in Winnipeg. She is survived by her son Robert (Marie), and daughters Denise (Dean) and Gail (Steve), six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband Bill (1982) and two sons, George (1979) and Bill (2004). Evelyn was born in Melville, Saskatchewan and later moved to Winnipeg. She was the last survivor out of four siblings. Her working career included Eatons and Woolco, where she continued to enjoy occasional get togethers with former employees. In her retirement years, she enjoyed travelling and cruises (Hawaii, Caribbean, and Alaska). She enjoyed playing cards, and continued to be competitive in crib at the age of 97.
As per Evelyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time. Private interment will take place at a later date.
