Obituary for Garry Zeron

Garry Zeron
December 12, 1953 – October 12, 2018.

After a lengthy and difficult illness, Garry, our cherished and precious husband, stepfather, brother, and dearest friend, passed over and has gone Home. He is finally at peace in the loving arms of Jesus.

Garry leaves behind his devoted and beloved wife, Lynn Ann Zeron, his stepdaughter Shannan Post, his sister Ruth Spence (Tom), his cousins Richard, Jimmy, and George; Lynn’s sister Tracy (Webster), and their children Becca(Tyler); good friends Daryl, Marion, and his many very lucky friends. He was predeceased by his father, Gordon William, his mother Helen, and his brother, Gordie.

Hard-working and dedicated, with a keen sense of humour and a quiet, all-knowing wisdom gleaned from life’s experience, Garry was a loyal, faithful husband and friend, and had a heart as big as the sky. Those of us who knew him well considered ourselves especially fortunate to have experienced his extreme gentleness, generosity, and his genuine caring for others less fortunate than he. He was always ready to open his home and his heart to anyone in need. He would give the proverbial “shirt off his back” and a kind shoulder to anyone who hurt, both friends and strangers alike, and spent countless hours doing volunteer work at Siloam Mission, even in illness.

Garry will be missed so very, very much by those of us temporarily left behind. He is truly a unique and special soul who will remain near to help us now, and who will be there to help us across when our time comes.

Thank you, Lord, for lending him to us in our earthly lives. And thank you, dear Garry, for all the love you still give us.

Family and friends will be informed as to a future gathering to celebrate Garry’s life.
