Isabel Macaraig

It is with deep sorrow and regret that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Isabel Macaraig on September 28, 2018 at the Health Science Center in Winnipeg, MB at 1:34pm.

Isabel was predeceased by her beloved husband, Maximino, and children; Maria Conception, Victorino, and Rogelio Macaraig.

She will be remembered by her children Lourdes Macaraig, Jose Macaraig, Ruben and Yollie Macaraig, Ligaya and Ben Berena, Letecia and Rey Ignacio, Along with her children in the Philippines; Lilia and Johnny Jarata, Lydia and Roberto Villarante, Marcelino and Rebecca Macaraig, and Soforino and Paciencia Macaraig. Along with 41 grandchildren, 55 great grandkids and 3 great, great, grandkids.

Isabel, was born in San Jose, Batangas and migrated to Canada on November 19th 1979. Isabel was a loving and caring person, who enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends. Her hobbies included going for walks at the park and babysitting children. Her favourite sports to watch were baseball and wrestling and her favourite T.V. shows were young and the restless, wheel of fortune, and the price is right.

The family would like to thank the Health Science Centre staff in the Emergency Department for providing support, comfort and care in her last few hours.
Viewing (Lamay) will be held at Mosaic Funeral Chapel 1839 Inkster Blvd. Friday, October 19 from 6:00pm to 12:00am. Funeral mass will be held at St. Edwards Catholic Church 836 Arlington Street at 10:00am. Reception will follow back at Mosaic Funeral Chapel.

Isabel will be laid to rest back home in San Jose, Batangas, Philippines.
She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
