It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, David Mandel, at the Victoria Hospital on September 9, 2018. David was in his 86th year.
Left to mourn David are his children, Dave (Cindy), Danny (Lisa), Edwin (Patricia), Betty (Doug), Arnold, Ronald (Cecille), Lydia (Bill), Sarah (Dave), and Raymond, as well as his loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. David was predeceased by his parents, wife Sarah, and his son Joey and daughter Alma.
His passion in life was being around people, being a salesman and taking care of his family. We were so fortunate to have had him for so many years. He was such a loving and generous person who was so full of life, had a wonderful sense of humour, and always had something to talk about with whoever would take the time to listen. He will be remembered fondly by his children and grandchildren for all of the words of wisdom and attention they received. We will miss him.
Our family would like to extend our most sincere gratitude and thanks to the staff at Victoria General Hospital for the wonderful care they provided to David over the past two months.
Those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear.
