Raymond Camire
February 10, 1936 – July 20, 2018


It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond (Bud) Camire on Friday, July 20th 2018 at 10:30am.
He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 52 Years Judy; his son Rick (Shannon); brother Armand; sister Lillian (Jack); sisters-in-law Margret and Donna.
He leaves as well his sisters-in-law Lois (Frank); Arlene (Jerry) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Raymond was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Rose Camire; brothers; Ronald; James; sister Lucille; and sister-in-law Eva.
Bud was born in Fisher Branch, Manitoba February 10, 1936. He lived there until the family moved to Winnipeg in the 40's.
He met his wife Judy in the mid 60's where they worked together at Claude Neon. They not long after started dating and eventually were married in June of 1966. They had a few years of honeymooning until February of 1970 when their only son Rick was born.
Bud took the family on outings such as going camping and fishing along with many family gatherings and celebrations.
Bud worked many different jobs over his lifetime from being a train conductor, boat builder, and many other numerous construction type jobs. He even once worked as a type setter and proof reader. Then finishing his career of over 35 plus years in the sign Industry at Medicom where he finally decided to settle down and retired from in the mid 90s.
Bud was an avid reader, he loved his western books and his crime stories. He also enjoyed fishing, playing cards and board games. His passion was wood working. He created many different things from fences, to Entarcia carvings to benches to witling the smallest of items. He kept his hands busy along with his mind. He was such a smart man. He enjoyed also playing word games and doing Sudoko puzzles later on in life to keep his mind sharp.
He was loving man with numerous friends as well. There was the breakfast crew, he had his friends from the gym as well as neighbours that became some of his closest friends. He had friendships that stood the test of time many of these friendships started as fellow co workers.
If you needed a hand with anything you could always count on Buddy. He was the go to guy as well. He always made time for people. He didn't stop at just friends his age either, there were many neighbourhood children found him to be more like a 2nd father figure to them rather than just a friend.
Many of Rick's friends were even so far as disciplined by Bud as he loved them as his own children, and if one was into trouble he knew they were all into trouble and didn't mess around with any monkey business. Which they all respected him for. He was very proud and loving. He took time to show the little kids all the neatest things such as how to make little birch bark canoe's or having a group of neighbourhood kids walking up and down the back lane on homemade stilts.
He had a magical way about him and a Smile for all he met. We will all Miss him Dearly and he will remain forever in our Hearts.

Interment of cremated remains to take place at a later date. The family would like to express sincere gratitude gor your many kindnesses, in thoughts and in actions, and for your attendance at this celebration.
