Obituary for Kervy Dela Cruz Quitane

Kervy Dela Cruz Quitane

September 26, 1987 – February 18, 2018

We are all struggling with heavy hearts that Kervy Quitane (Sept 26, 1987 – Feb 18, 2018) died too soon. It was unthinkable to find his body lying on the floor in the lunchroom at work. We will miss a loving husband, caring son, thoughtful brother, and a loyal friend.

He is deeply mourned by his beloved wife Christine Viel. His 16-month-old daughter Valeri will only hear about how a wonderful dad he was. His parents, Rodrigo and Sofia, together with his siblings, Marnelli, Gillan, and Lora are all grief-stricken losing him early.

We are blessed that he touched many lives. As the lead guitarist of their band, he made great contributions to the Filipino music community in Winnipeg. His passion, creativity, and dedication to the craft inspired other artists to learn new genres. His love of music spans over to Manila where he first started.

Viewing/lamay will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018 and Monday, February 26, 2018 commencing at 6:00 pm at Mosaic Funeral Chapel on 1839 Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg MB, Prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm with Rev. Father Mar Batocan presiding.
