Carmelina Ida Perrelli
Carmelina Ida Perrelli
May 20, 1927 – December 11, 2017

With great sadness, we announce the passing of our dear mother, Ida, age 90 years. Ida will be missed by her loving husband Aldo, her children Franca (Ercole), Olga (Camillo), Giuseppina (Joe), Biagio-Antonio (Dawn), Daniela (Don), her grandchildren Adela, Adamo, Roberto (Airesse), Tanya (Eduardo), Aldo, Breanna, Delaine, Marco and Sienna and great grandchildren Gabriela, Eliza and Eliana , her brother in law Emilio (Assunta) and family. Also numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews across Canada and Italy.
She was predeceased by her parents, Costandino & Maria Fazio, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
Ida was born in Torano Costello, Italy and as a young girl she worked in the olive orchards. Ida and Aldo met and married in Italy in 1949 and had 4 children there. Aldo immigrated to Canada in 1951 and then sent for Ida and the children in 1966. Ida and the children travelled by ship to New York and then by train to Winnipeg. She had her fifth child in Canada.
In Winnipeg, Ida worked in the garment industry as well as Winnipeg Clinic and at the Medical Arts building. She was an incredible cook and her home was always full of people, laughter, love and food. She took great pride in all her children, grandchildren and great grand children.
She was a true lady, full of God’s grace and will be missed by all her knew and loved her. We were blessed to have her in our lives.
