Condolence From: Margo Laing
Condolence: Cindy's passing is a huge loss for the Brooklands community. Few families were not connected to "Miss Y". On a personal level, I am deeply saddened that our cofffee/dessert "catchup" evenings will be no more. My sincere condolences to Cindy's sisters and their families.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of Cindy's passing. I worked with Cindy for many years off and on at Brooklands. She cared so deeply for her students. We went for coffee a few times and I came to know the person. I will miss her and will always think of the caring and generous person that she was. She helped me through a tough time and I will be forever grateful. Rest in peace. My thoughts are with her family.

Condolence: I was saddened to hear of the sudden loss of Cindy. I met Cindy five years ago through my sister Tracy, who was her neighbor. My memories of Cindy were enjoying the sun around the pool, and her joining us for brisk walks down Wellington Crescent. Rest in Peace Cindy.

Condolence: I worked at Brooklands School for 6 months with Cindy...Jan. to June 2001. We shared a lot of laughs. Her bright smile and bright eyes were a delight to see. She was always enthusiastic. One of the surprise times when I saw Cindy was at the opening of an old school house in Chatfield, MB. I was so surprised that she had a hand in donating items to the old school. I am greatly shocked and saddened to learn of her passing. RIP, Cindy.

Condolence: I had the pleasure of meeting Cindy at Brooklands School 12 years ago when I was a student teacher there. I admired her for her dedication, hard work and kindness. Two years later, I got hired to team teach full day Kindergarten with her. I couldn't have asked for a better mentor and friend during my first year of teaching. I will always remember her for introducing me to Coach purses and for sharing a mutual love of the Gap and the apple strudel from La Grotta. I was deeply saddened to hear of her passing. She will be missed.

Condolence: As a fellow St. James Kindergarten Teacher it was with heavy heart to hear the news of Cindy's passing. She was always encouraging other teachers to keep their heads up and remember how much our students needed us. She took on the role of teacher, mother, nurse, friend, counsellor, and any other role her students needed on a daily basis. Cindy always put her students first. She will be missed by all.

Condolence From: Bev Stephenson
Condolence: I had the pleasure of working with Cindy. She was a highly dedicated teacher who won the hearts of so many children. Many of them would regularly return year after year for a visit, a warm smile, a hug and her sincere interest in how they were doing. She will be greatly missed by colleagues/friends, students and families touched by her warmth and commitment to her students' well-being and education.
My sincere condolences to Cindy's family and friends. This is a great loss.
