Obituary for Don Liberato

Don Liberato
February 11, 1975 – October 12, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Don Liberato on October 12, 2018 at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 43.
Don is survived by his wife Pheth and their two children Maximus and Kasidy. Along with his parents Florante and Merle, his brother Rey (Joanne) and their children Rey-J, Lucas, and Laci, and his sister Leah. As well as his close extended family, the Adelantars and Juayangs.

An avid outdoorsman, Don spent most summers taking his camper out, enjoying time around a bonfire with his family, or spending countless hours fishing with his friends. Having been born in Winnipeg, he was a loyal Jets fan and always made it a point to catch every game. He played offensive lineman (guard) for the Maples Marauders football team during his high school days and was nicknamed the Filipino Freight Train for his incredible prowess on the field.

What we will remember most about Don was that he was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and according to his niece and nephews – the best uncle ever. He cared deeply for his family and it was evident with the great care he instilled on them. Known as a quiet and humble man, his smile shined through the hearts of many.

We would like to thank numerous family and friends who came by to visit him during his last few weeks of life and showered him with love, laughter, and comfort. He fought a good fight and we are absolute that he left with a happy heart.

Special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and medical staff with Cancer Care Manitoba, WRHA Palliative Care Program, and Riverview Health Centre for the care and time they provided Don.
